About the wine
Chuck Wagner — “Mr. Cabernet” of Napa Valley — leads the Caymus winery uncompromisingly from peak to highlight. The Cabernet Sauvignon “Special Selection”, created by his father Charlie Wagner, who died in 2002, is a cult, and not just for a few years as with the mass of its imitators, but for decades! In 2012, they were also able to celebrate the 40th vintage of their famous Napa Cabernet — with an outstanding top wine in limited edition bottling and special labels.

Tasting note
It's rich, complex, and accessible. Has rich aromas of cherries and dark chocolate. Fine tannins.

As an accompaniment to beef, lamb, sliced veal and a fried chicken breast..
Vinification
Aged in steel tanks and partly in large wooden barrels.
