About the wine
The small, up-and-coming company Pietradolce focuses on local grape varieties and is becoming increasingly important. The winery from the Solicchiata area belonging to the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, located directly on Mount Etna, has achieved cult status in a very short time. The winemakers Michele and Mario Faro — both passionate wine collectors and known as florists across national borders — focus their work on the autochthonous Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante grapes.

Tasting note
Fine bouquet of dark red cherries, flowers, mint and licorice. Fresh and lively on the palate, with a memorable blend of ethereal sweetness, delicate acidity and interesting salty notes. A contemplative drop that requires a certain amount of experience and patience to be fully discovered. Pre-phylloxera = from vines with roots!
