Tasting note
Medium ruby red. Clear and profound aromas on the nose. cherries, hot spices, some herbs, tobacco. Rich in extract on the palate, the acidity appears well-embedded and harmonious. Pure, deep aromas of cherries and spices on the youthful, restrained nose. Impressive depth on the palate, with lots of race. Long aftertaste with very good aromatic persistence.

Vinification
The grapes for this wine come from the “Rampante” single vineyard. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and vinified at the nearby Tascante winery at the foot of Mount Etna. The young wine is aged for twelve months in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels. The young wine is then aged in the bottle for a further eight months before it is sold.
