About the wine

Andrea Franchetti first founded the Tenuta di Trinoro winery in Tuscany, planted vineyards in high, hitherto unused locations and quickly vinified great, subtle, erotic wines with Bordeaux varieties. The locals shook their heads at first, the critics soon applauded. Passopisciaro, founded in 2001, is his second stop. And once again Andrea was the first to recognize the great potential of Mount Etna in Sicily. And anyone who works with such passion and is so obsessed with quality is also planting new vines on an active volcano. The cultivation follows organic principles without artificial fertilisers and herbicides.
