Tasting note
The Conte di Luna is medium ruby red with purple reflections. A potpourri of strawberries and currants unfolds in the nose, accompanied by elegant roasted aromas. On the palate, it has an elegant structure with fresh, crunchy tannins. The charming extract sweetness interacts with the embedded acid and ends in a “sweet and sour” impression. The lively, powerful body is by no means lush and ends with fresh spices of eucalyptus and licorice.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty meat dishes, game and aged cheese.
Vinification
After hand harvesting, they are traditionally vinified. Fermentation is temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks to preserve the typical aromas of the variety. The wine is then aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels.
