About the wine
The 2017 season was certainly one of the most complex of the last 20 years. Shoots in early April with regular spring temperatures were nullified by a new onset of winter, (20%) of the shoots burned, setting the season back by a full 3-4 weeks. Initially normal summer temperatures were replaced by very hot temperatures. All this was accompanied by a long period of drought. Fortunately, thanks to drip irrigation, Collazzi has the opportunity every year to make the decision not to let the vines get into water stress.

Das erfrischende Bukett des Collazzi Toscana IGT von Fruchtkompott, Gewürzen und Tabak zeigt komplexen Aromacharakter und viel Finesse. Die dominanten Noten von schwarzer Kirsche, schwarzer Pflaume und schwarzem Pfeffer gestalten ihre individuelle Textur. Kräftiger Körper und dominante Säure ergeben den fruchtigen Rotwein, welcher ausgewogen mit feinen Tanninen im Mund jede Menge Charakter und Klasse zeigt.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meats, roasts and game dishes.
