Tasting note
Dark, deep purple, rich in the middle. An expansive, ripe berry bouquet, plums, coffee and dark chocolate, quite profound. On the palate, a lot of substance, dense extract, also fleshy and with a lot of strength and support. The difficult vintage seems to have almost completely passed this wine by. (Gabriel)
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with classic meat dishes, roasts, ragout or a rich game terrine.
Vinification
The must is vinified in thermoregulated wooden barrels between 18 and 26 days (depending on the vintage). The young wine is then aged in 80 to 100% new barriques for 20 months.
