You can describe the landscape in Catalonia with words such as barren. However, the Spanish winery Marco Abella is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded! The provocative Grenache 2018 — Clos Abella, wooden box is the missing puzzle piece in your wine rack. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this grenache with burgers with blue cheese or vegetables.

Tasting note
The strikingly intense bouquet includes the spectrum of red and dark fruits, fresh flowers, oak wood and licorice. On the palate, aromas of black cherries, wet stones, spices, tobacco and chocolate. The subtle density and harmonious and silky tannins are in perfect balance with the long, fresh finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meats, beef, fine cuts of meat, stews, game, mushrooms.
Vinification
Fermented in 225 liter French oak barrels followed by aging for 16 months in 225 liter French oak barrels.
