About the wine
In 1880, at the tender age of 22, Joseph Drouhin founded his winery in Burgundy. Today, the company is run by his four grandchildren. Chorey-les-Beaune is one of the municipal appellations that, although not as well known as the most famous in Burgundy, offer excellent value for money.

Tasting note
Chorey-les-Beaune is one of the municipal appellations that, although not as well known as the most famous in Burgundy, offer excellent value for money. The municipality is located between the famous sites of Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune. JOSEPH DROUHIN presses a red wine from the best grapes, which has an intense fruity aroma of red berries (cherries, raspberries). This is followed by a skilful appearance on the palate with round, soft tannins and a balanced, nuanced fruit acid. It is a straight-lined, typical Burgundy that has a lot of finesse and subtlety in the lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with chicken dishes, veal stew, lamb stew, lamb preeats, beef stew, pork stew, pork stew, grilled chicken, brie, camembert, tomme.
Vinification
Aged for 18 - 20 months in pièce (French oak barrel with a capacity of 228 liters)
