About the wine
Castello del Trebbio is just 15 km from Florence and has 54 hectares of vineyards. The current owners, the Baj Macario family, bought and renovated the castle in 1968. Anna Baj Macario, the owner of the castle, takes care of olive oil production and her husband, Stefano Casadei, takes care of the wine production.

Tasting note
Sangiovese shows all its power and elegance: fascinating on the nose, with notes of dark cherries and spices, and as it matures, it develops clear balsamic notes. The taste is compact, light and well-balanced in tannins. The aftertaste is extensive and pleasant.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended combinations: first courses with meat sauce, braised game, grilled meat. From the tenth year on, it becomes an excellent meditation wine.
