About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this outstanding Sangiovese 2018 — Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG. The winemaker from the Italian winery Gagliole is absolutely proficient in his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the fertile and flourishing Tuscan countryside. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a dining experience when you offer this Sangiovese with pasta or lamb.
Tasting note
Bright, brilliant ruby red with a sparkling core. On the nose, clearly buttery notes, filigree cherry, rose hips. Firm and full-bodied on the palate, balanced with cheeky acidity and fine tannin, elegant, firm on the palate in the finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meat, game dishes, pasta with tomato sauce or aged pecorino.
Vinification
10 months in small wooden barrels and 5 months in concrete.
