Chianti Classico Il Poggiale Riserva DOCG 2023 - Castellare di Castellina

Since 1993, the Il Poggiale vineyard has produced a few thousand bottles a year, which are on the market as Chianti Classico Riserva Il Poggiale. The cuvée consists of 90 percent Sangiovese and 5 percent each Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo. They ferment in steel tanks for two to three weeks and mature for 12 to 18 months in barriques, half of them in new wood. As a mature wine, Il Poggiale shows an exemplary tight structure, combined with precisely defined notes of highly ripe berries, which are more beautiful anywhere in Tuscany.
