Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2019 - Vecchie Terre di Montefili

In 2015, the Vecchie Terre di Montefili winery found a new owner with Nicola Marzovilla. His goal of making the historic mini winery even better was an ambitious task for the young oenologist Serena Gusmeri, which she masterfully accomplished. For Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, she only uses Sangiovese grapes from the oldest vineyards, which have also been cultivated according to the rules of organic vine-growing for over 20 years. The bouquet of the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is reminiscent of fresh grapes, berries and ripe stone fruit, with a touch of almonds and cinnamon. On the palate, it shows a good presence and an elegant body. The aftertaste is fresh with velvety tannins.
