About the wine
Do you already know the outstanding Sangiovese Chianti Classico DOCG born in 2013? If not, it's time! The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Fontodi conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Sangiovese is excellent with beef or pizza.
Tasting note
The Chianti Fontodi has a deep red color and smells of plums and violets. On the palate, beautiful, delicate fruit with aromas of ripe wild berries and a bit of smoke. On the finish, this Chianti shines with a touch of chocolate and liquorice notes.

Vinification
Mash fermentation takes place for 14 days at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then kept in Allier or Tronçais oak barrels for 12 months.
