About the wine
Christmas 2018 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this powerful white wine 2017 — Chenin Blanc Original! Sunny and fertile landscapes of the coastal region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Raats Family Wines conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Chenin Blanc with pretzel sticks or puff pastry.

Tasting note
Light lemon yellow - fresh fruity nose with aromas of yellow apple, kiwi and pineapple. The palate also has notes of green melon and lime, which overall contributes to a decidedly fruity character. Even on the straight finish, the wine impresses with its clear citrus freshness and a slight mineral note. A puristic Chenin Blanc that, in a sense, embodies the essence of this grape variety.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with grilled fish, fried chicken dishes or fresh salads.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. The wine is fermented in stainless steel containers to preserve the fresh and fruity aromas and stays on the fine lees for a period of time to develop additional complexity.
