About the wine
Named after Hope Marguerite Beaumont, a woman of character, elegance and love for wine. This chenin is produced to reflect the pure character of the grape and the individual philosophy of Beaumont wines. The first vintage of Hope Marguerite was produced in 1997 and at that time only two more Chenin Blanc were produced in this style in South Africa.

Tasting note
Bright attractive color with green reflections A wine with rich apricot and peach aromas and a subtle scent of melon and Golden Delicious. On the palate, a wide selection of tropical fruits, especially pineapples. Plus fine herbal seasoning and traces of spicy wood notes. Fresh acidity and citrus fruits keep the wine fresh and characterize a long, sumptuous finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with asparagus, seafood, terrines, spicy Asian dishes
Vinification
A careful selection of the characterful fruits from the oldest vineyard in Beaumont, fermented naturally with a minimum of intervention, aged in old 400L French oak barrels (15% new wood). This wine then stays on its lees for 10 months in 400L barrels.
