About the wine

It wasn't until 2014 that the Sabon family bought the 15-hectare Clos Saint Antonin winery in Jonquières in the southern Rhône from the glorious Domaine de la Janasse, and not only received something, but also gave something: Janasse gave two 2 ha of wonderful Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyards to Saint Antonin. And if you also consider that the wines from Clos Saint Antonin are still pressed on Janasse for the time being, and how they work there with minimal intervention and primarily organic work, then you can only come to the conclusion that although it says Saint Antonin on it, it actually contains Janasse, and that's how it tastes: wines of bewitchingly dense, smooth flowing elegance and freshness. Even the first batch of 2015 was a bang!
