The gravelly soils north and east of Gironde and Dordogne form the breeding ground for this Merlot. Tasting note
Château Tour Saint Christophe has a deep, purple-red colour. On the nose, intense aromas of black cherries, cassis, licorice, floral notes and mineral notes develop. On the palate, it is full-bodied with fine-grained tannins, lively freshness and a long, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled beef, lamb dishes, game or aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes come from calcareous terraces facing south-southwest. After harvesting, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new.
