It draws its strength and energy from the gravelly soils north and east of Gironde and Dordogne. The winemaker from the French winery Château Teyssier transforms it into a real treat with great sensitivity. Tasting note
Intense, deep ruby red. Subtly aromatic on the nose with scent of dark berries, black cherries and plums, spicy, roasted notes, chocolate. Strong on the palate with tannins still covered, elegant structure, dense, long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, lamb, stews.
Vinification
Fermentation in steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Then aged in French barriques for around 12 months.
