Tasting note
The Château Suduiraut Vieilles Vignes shows a pale yellow color with green reflections. The nose reveals notes of hawthorn, peach, anise and menthol, followed by mineral and woody scents. Fresh and creamy on the palate, with aromas of wood, white fruits, lime and grapefruit. The finish ends with sweet spices, fresh almonds and a touch of flint. This dry Grand Vin Blanc combines minerality and creaminess and will continue to develop over the next 10 years.
Vinification
The wine is pneumatically pressed slowly and gently for about 2 hours and 30 minutes. This is followed by cold storage at 10 °C. Fermentation takes place in barriques with 15% new wood at a controlled temperature of 17 to 22 °C. There is no malolactic fermentation.
