About the wine
Built in the 19th century and opposite the Gioronde, Château Phélan-Ségur is now run by Xavier Gardinier and his three sons. Her wines are powerful, concentrated and balanced. Lots of French refinement — straight from Bordeaux!

Tasting note
With aromas of cassis, black cherry and blackberry, finely underscored by spices and subtle barrique. Dense and structured on the palate with ripe, precise tannins, fresh minerality and a long, harmonious finish.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with hearty meat dishes such as entrecote, beef fillet or rack of lamb. Also excellent with game (deer, deer), braised beef, duck and aged hard cheese. The structure and freshness of the wine go particularly well with aromatic sauces and herbs.
