About the wine
This Merlot draws its strength and energy from the gravelly soils north and east of Gironde and Dordogne. The winemaker from the French winery Petit Gravet Aîné transforms it into a real treat with great sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or duck.

Tasting note
The wine has a deep red color and an intense bouquet of dark fruits such as plum and blackcurrant, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla and spices that come from oak aging. On the palate, Château Petit Gravet Aîné has soft, well-integrated tannins, a harmonious fruitiness and a balanced freshness that leads to an elegant and long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with beef tenderloin, lamb chops, game dishes or aged cheeses such as Comté and Gruyère.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and carefully sorted to select only the best fruits for the wine. After controlled fermentation, aging takes place in French oak barrels for around 12 to 18 months.
