Tasting note
The 2018 vintage has a deep, garnet red color and smells of dried cherries and ripe red berries, Mediterranean spices and herbs, and some smoke. On the palate, this red wine is full-bodied, with good concentration, juicy acidity and ripe, fine tannins. The aftertaste is persistent with aromas of cranberries, raisins and dates — already wonderfully ready to drink.

Vinification
The grape varieties were fermented separately in concrete tanks with the vineyard's own yeasts. It was aged for twelve months in new French Nevers oak barrels. The wine is then stored again in concrete tanks for a further twelve months. Chateau Musar wines are neither refined nor filtered. The red wines are usually sold after five to seven years. Vegan certified.
