About the wine
With the distinctive Merlot 2010 — Chateau Mauvinon AOC Grand Cru Classe Saint-Emilion, you can offer your guests something very special. Tasting note
The wine smells of dark berries (cassis, black cherries). Fine aromas of cedarwood suggest an elegant wine. Fruit, wood and tannins are very balanced. On the palate, the wine is complex, dense, with a slight spicy note and nicely rounded off. The tannin is restrained, the finish long.
Culinary recommendation

Vinification
Information about vinification: The winery is located just a few hundred meters from the sandstone slopes of the wine-growing town of St-Emilion. The two vineyards are located on mineral-rich sandy soils with little calcareous pebbles. Merlot and Cabernet Franc are the two most important grape varieties, whose mixing ratio is adjusted annually to the circumstances of the harvest and the vintage. Half of the harvest matures in new oak barrels, the other half in used ones. The ripening period is between nine and fourteen months.
