The gravelly, calcareous soils in the north of the city of Bordeaux form the breeding ground for this Merlot. Tasting note
It is characterized by a deep red color. On the nose, intense aromas of dark fruits such as plum and blackberry develop, complemented by spicy notes of tobacco, vanilla and a slight hint of wood. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with well-integrated tannin structure and balanced acidity. The wine has a complex depth that persists into the long, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, grilled steak, game dishes or mature cheeses such as Comté or Brie de Meaux.
Vinification
After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels.
