About the wine

Château Carignan was built in 1452 on the side of a Romanesque villa. Today it is a 250-hectare vineyard, with 65 hectares of vineyards. The exemplary working château, located 10 km outside the city of Bordeaux, was bought in 1981 by its current owner, the Belgian Philippe Pieraerts. After extensive replanting and renovation of 65 hectares of vineyards and cellars, the Château came onto the market in 1998 with its first new generation wine, which quickly attracted attention among retailers in Bordeaux due to its outstanding quality
