Tasting note
The Château Cap Léon Veyrin shows a deep red color and gives off a bouquet of blackcurrants, plums and delicate herbal notes. On the palate, the wine is well structured, with a nice tannin structure and a pleasant freshness. The fruity aromas are accompanied by slightly spicy and woody notes created by barrel aging. The aftertaste is long and harmonious, with a pleasant touch of tobacco and vanilla.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with beef dishes, such as steak, grilled lamb or roast meat. Cheeses such as aged Comté or a strong Roquefort also go very well with it.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully picked by hand and vinified using the traditional method. Fermentation is followed by aging in oak barrels.
