Tasting note
The Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru is bright golden yellow in the glass. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe citrus fruits, yellow apples, fresh almonds, white flowers and subtle roasted notes develop. On the palate, the wine appears powerful, smooth and at the same time elegant, with a nice balance between freshness, fullness and fine minerality. The aftertaste is long, harmonious and characterized by fine spicy and buttery notes.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with fine fish, crawfish, poultry in creamy sauces, truffle dishes or even with fine aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully picked by hand. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels (some of which are new), followed by a maturation period of around 12 months on fine lees, with occasional batonnage to strengthen the structure.
