About the wine
Easter 2019 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this powerful Chardonnay 2016 — Chassagne-Montrachet ac En Pimont Chateau de Chassagne-Montrachet! The gravelly, skewed soils in Burgundy form the breeding ground for this Chardonnay. The winemaker from the French winery Michel Picard knows how to use them and delights us with this white wine. Tasting note
Medium yellow with golden reflections. Typical nose with notes of ripe fruit such as bananas, pineapples and honeydew melons as well as some butter. On the palate, very beautifully integrated aromas of wood aging, accompanied by fine vanilla tones. The start is soft, elegant and very profound. Afterwards, the wine shows a lot of elegance and finesse.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with saltwater and fried freshwater fish, lobsters and crawfish.
Vinification
After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by a short expansion in 228 l pieces.
