Tasting note
Smells like a great Burgundy without denying its typicity as Rheinhessen wine. It's a really great German Chardonnay with lots of personality. The wine vibrantly caresses the palate and shows an immense range of flavors. Fine extract sweetness, racy, perfectly ripe acidity, radiates warmth, but also maintains freshness, even has something of a cool vintage. Carsten Saalwächter simply always succeeds in bottling sophisticated wines.
