Au Bon Climat - this name is an announcement and a clear commitment to Burgundian-style wines from California. The winery sees itself as an “homage to the wines of Burgundy” and produces classic Burgundy wines on the Pacific coast in the western USA. Chardonnay is fresh, very structured, with a creamy texture and expressive fruit and thus belies the prejudice that Californian Chardonnays are sticky and heavy.
