Ökonomierat Rebholz is a very big name in German wine, whose reputation is not based on adapting to fashions or colorful labels, but in the consistent implementation of a philosophy: natural wine (certified organic, biodynamic), the unvarnished representation of terroir and vintage. What are almost mandatory terms in every wine letter today have been maintained at Rebholz for generations, i.e. at a time when refraining from enrichment or deacidification were radical and risky decisions. And even today, Hans-Jörg Rebholz vinifies character wines from his 22 ha, which illuminate and delightfully reflect the different terroirs from Rotliegende to Muschelkalk and Buntsandstein.
