About the wine
A complex Chardonnay with aromas of ripe apples, pears and citrus fruits, complemented by fine notes of vanilla, nuts and a touch of minerality. Powerful yet precise on the palate, with a creamy texture, lively acidity and a long, harmonious finish.

Tasting note
Medium yellow with golden reflections. Complex and complex on the nose, with notes of ripe pears, exotic fruits and roasted aromas, accompanied by fine mineral nuances. Dry on the palate, with medium, perfectly integrated acidity. Aromas of exotic fruit and ripe pears. The wood is used very specifically, which supports complexity. The wine looks very elegant and not too lush. Long, harmonious aftertaste.

Goes well with tuna and poultry.
Vinification
Alois Lageder only uses the best Chardonnay grapes from selected locations in Margreid and Salorno (260 to 450 m above sea level) for its flagship Löwengang. Age of the vines: 25 to 55 years. After gently pressing the grapes, the must is fermented in barriques (Nevers, Alliers, Vosges and Tronçais, half new) and aged on the lees for eleven months.
