About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it is this dominant white wine 2020 Chardonnay Collio DOC. With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Marco Felluga masters this white wine in the fertile and blooming Friuli countryside. Tasting note
The glass is pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, fine aromas of citrus fruits, ripe apples and a touch of exotic fruit develop, accompanied by floral notes and a hint of vanilla. Fresh, balanced and elegant on the palate with a subtle creaminess and a mineral aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with fine fish dishes, risotto with seafood, poultry in lemon sauce or mild goat cheese.
Vinification
The grapes come from the hills of Collio in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and are carefully harvested by hand. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. Some of the wine is aged in wooden barrels.
