Tasting note
Nice golden yellow color. Dense and regular bubbling with ultra-fine bubbles. Bouquet of vineyard peach and Williams pear combined with lemon and blood orange. Iodine and smoky notes give the wine aromatic freshness. This is followed by notes of chalk. On the palate, with a delicious start and a strong texture. Very juicy and concentrated feeling, like biting into a ripe fruit. The substance is soft and flattering, envelopes the palate, but is immediately loosened up again thanks to the delicate effervescent. The length is conveyed by a nice chalky freshness. At the same time, you are full of culinary delights, with this slightly toasted side, and in full freshness thanks to a salty finish. The smoky notes finally take the lead to support this very tasty finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes perfectly with oysters, seafood and mild cheeses.
Vinification
This champagne is made according to old tradition from a blend of different grape varieties and vintages. Brut Premier is a wine made from at least four different vintages. Around 10% of this cuvée, in turn, are vins de réserve from the last three vintages, which round off the wine and maintain the Louis Roederer style. After the champagne has aged on the yeast for three years, a dosage is added to it. After a further six months of maturing, the Brut Premier has a good balance of freshness and subtle complexity
