Tasting note
The “La Côte des Glaises” champagne is wild and expressive. Orange color. Very dry, with a rich texture. Aromas of pickled lemons, wild herbs, a touch of oxidation and salty caramel. A unique champagne!
Vinification
This biodynamic “orange champagne” is a wild champagne made from the “La Côte des Glaises” plot, overlooking the city of Reims. The Chardonnay grapes from clay and clay soils were macerated on their skins for 10 days and fermented only with local yeast and without the addition of sulfur. Ageing for 9 months in local barrels (Tonnellerie de Champagne), unembellished and unfiltered, then 3 years on lees in the bottle. Disgorged in November 2021 as Brut Nature.
