Tasting note
Finesse, elegance and balance characterize this wine from the beginning to the nuanced, fruity finish. The nose reveals delicate tertiary aromas (forest soil, mushroom), fine fruit notes (raspberry, blackberry, cherry) and subtle scents of herbs and spices (licorice, vanilla, cinnamon). They announce a great pleasure experience. The cut, fine texture and deep structure of an aged Rioja wine combine to create an excellent overall experience.
Culinary recommendation
Goes wonderfully with mushroom starters, game, cheese, roast veal, veal tenderloin batter, veal stew, veal appetizers, beef tenderloin batter, filet Wellington, beef stew, pork tenderloin in batter, pork stew and pork appetizers.
Vinification
Aged in barriques for a few months, then aged in the bottle for a further four years.
