Tasting note
The Centurio is a beautiful classic and a beautiful, unsophisticated example of a Primitivo. It has a rich, youthful purple in the glass, smells of cedarwood, tobacco, chamomile and some graphite and sea. Full and full-bodied, juicy-balanced, with a nice, slightly sandy tannin, many aromas such as berries, herbs, vanilla and again some cedarwood in the long lingering aftertaste. A perfect meal companion!
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at slightly chilled 15°-17°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: Now until 2021. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with pizza, spicy hard cheese and red meat.
Vinification
From very old tapestry vines in Manduria, harvested by hand, fermented in steel tanks, aged in large wooden barrels for 14 months.
