About the wine
The San Fabiano Calcinaia winery is located in the middle of Tuscany on the hills of the Chianti region. It covers 165 hectares in Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti. Guido and Isa Serio have owned the business since 1983 and are dedicated to producing authentic, top-class wines. In 2009, they began switching to organic production.

Tasting note
Die fruchtigen Aromen des Casa Boschino Toscana IGT von Fruchtkompott, Gewürzen und Tabak drücken viel Charakter mit einer ganz individuellen Struktur aus. Als Nächstes zeigen die erfrischenden Nuancen von schwarzer Kirsche, schwarzer Pflaume und schwarzem Pfeffer ihren eigenen Charakter. Mit verhalten angenehm ausgebauten Tanninen, kräftigem Körper und dominanter Säure präsentiert dieser fruchtige Rotwein seine makellose Qualität.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Casa Boschino Toscana IGT harmoniert hervorragend mit Gruyère Burger, Ribeye Steak und rotem Fleisch.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled mash fermentation for approx. 15-20 days, 70% in stainless steel tanks 30% wooden barrels for 12 months.
