About the wine
The story begins in Turin in 1786, when Antonio Benetto Carpano, after a period of studying herbalism, invented the formula that would lead to the creation of the category of wormwood by combining herbs and seasoning with muscat — Carpano wormwood was born. Carpano's wine shop was located directly opposite the Royal Palace and, relying on the attractiveness of his new product, he sent a case of vermouth to King Vittorio Amedeo III. The king immediately liked the drink and he took it into his household.

Tasting note
Carpano Classico is the classic Italian red vermouth that brings its unmistakable character to cocktails. The palate immediately notices its special note of bitter oranges, but this vermouth has a perfectly balanced bittersweet taste. Its spicy, citrusy notes combine to create a harmonious blend of flavors that complement the vermouth notes and gives this classic vermouth a balanced and soft, unique taste. Its color is derived from 100% naturally burnt sugar, which also gives the product an essential aromatic note. Like all other Carpano products, this product contains no artificial colors, preservatives, or additives.
