If Valentine's Day were a wine, it would certainly be the provocative red wine 2017 — Carmel Appellation Merlot. The Flaschenpost team promises a culinary experience if you offer this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or duck.

Tasting note
This wine reveals a deep purple color with aromas of plums, cassis and mint. It is full-bodied with a velvety texture, balanced tannins and a long and persistent finish. This attractive red wine remains in excellent drinking condition for up to a few years.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with braised beef ribs, grilled lamb chops with rosemary and garlic, or spicy vegetable jambalaya.
Vinification
The “Carmel Appellation Merlot” is made exclusively from Merlot grapes grown in the Upper Galilee. After the fermentation process and maceration, the drop is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months of aging in the bottle.
