About the wine

The red Château Carbonnieux has been a great classic among the best wines in the Bordeaux region for centuries. With its high quality standard, it is the smooth result of an excellent blend of grape varieties from this region: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Winemaking, both modern and traditional for red wines, is carried out by slow and gentle extraction to preserve the roundness of the wine and the mineral properties of the soil. The tannins are balanced and silky in harmony with the red fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry...) and reveal roasted notes that come from aging in the best French oak barrels. Only the very best batches are selected for the final blending of Château Carbonnieux's red wines.
