About the wine
With the dominant Shiraz 2016 — Capelan Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge AOP, nuances and accents are redefined. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine de la Ferme du Mont Benault greets us with this wine, which he grows in the Côtes du Rhône countryside. Tasting note
The Châteauneuf du Pape Côtes Capelan in La Ferme du Mont is a fantastic example of Grenache in the southern Rhône. On the nose, it shows vanilla notes, which make the aromas of red berries and orange zest a bit richer. Very full-bodied, luscious, creamy and beautifully structured on the palate, with fine tannins and a hint of spice in the long, silky finish. Great intensity, lively fruit and a soft texture make the Châteauneuf du Pape Côtes Capelan a really special wine.
