Tasting note
The Campogiovanni vineyards are located on the southern flank of the Montalcino hill, where the interplay of climate and soil conditions creates optimal conditions for the Sangiovese grape to ripen. The result is a classic style Brunello known for its elegance and exceptional aging potential. Intense and complex notes of fully ripe wild berries, dark blackberry jelly, tobacco leaf and supple leather flow out of the ruby red robe. Generous and full-bodied on the palate, with a dense, rich texture that transitions into a long, persistent finale with hints of fruit liqueur.
Culinary recommendation
All types of meat dishes, especially with game and wild boar, as well as with aged pecorino cheese.
Vinification
36 months in French and Slavonian oak barrels, then 12 months in bottle.
