About the wine
After his life as a wine merchant in New York, Andrea Franchetti first founded the Tenuta di Trinoro winery in southeastern Tuscany and others such as Passopisciaro and Sancaba were to follow. Tenuta di Trinoro was already a big hit, even though no wine had been planted here before! The locals initially shook their heads, and the critics soon applauded. The vines are now over 25 years old and the wines have an excellent reputation for elegant and erotic wines with style and strength, which seduce young and mature with dignity! The cultivation follows organic principles without artificial fertilizers and herbicides. World-class.

Tasting note
Dense intense ruby red. On the nose with fruit aromas of blackcurrants, black cherries, blackberries and plums. Notes of laurel, thyme and fine mint are added as spicy notes. Very full-bodied and elegant on the palate, with fresh acidity and firm yet fine-meshed tannins until the long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine cuts of meat, Mediterranean cuisine, stews, aged cheese.
Vinification
Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. The wine aged in French barriques for 8 months and then in cement barrels for 12 months. On March 8, during the waning moon, 1,939 bottles of Campo di Magnacosta 2022 were filled.
