About the wine
In our tireless search for small, fine wineries, we recently found what we were looking for again! We have found a small gem in the largest contiguous wine-growing region in the world: in the giant Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha. The winery Bodega y Viñedos Tinedo is owned by the Álvarez-Arenas family, which has been growing wine since 1742. The family has 47 hectares of vineyards located in Socuéllamos, in the province of Ciudad Real, in the heart of La Mancha. In 2002, the winery and part of the vines were retreaded and the use of herbicides and synthetic agents is completely avoided.
Tasting note
Its first-class ruby red is the icing on the cake of any special evening. Your guests will confirm it. The playful bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco brilliantly flirts with your sense of smell. Afterwards, fruity nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper will resolutely and consciously convince your taste buds. A fruity red wine with a strong body and dominant acidity, which harmoniously develops its lively structure with finely developed tannins on the tongue and palate.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: It goes perfectly with Gruyère burgers, pizza with mushrooms and red meat.
