Chuck Wagner — “Mr. Cabernet” of Napa Valley — leads the Caymus winery uncompromisingly from peak to highlight. The Cabernet Sauvignon “Special Selection”, created by his father Charlie Wagner, who died in 2002, is a cult, and not just for a few years as with the mass of its imitators, but for decades! In 2012, they were also able to celebrate the 40th vintage of their famous Napa Cabernet — with an outstanding top wine in limited edition bottling and special labels.

Tasting note
Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection's fruity bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco flirts brilliantly with your sense of smell. Afterwards, spicy nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper resolutely and consciously impress your senses of taste. Its thick ruby red is the icing on the cake for any special occasion. Your friends will confirm it for you. Strong body and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which, balanced with fine tannins in the mouth, shows a lot of character and class.
