Vinification
Anton Malan, the winemaker of Raimnbow`s End, describes this Cabernet Franc as his favorite wine. The boutique winery with the auspicious name Rainbow's End is located in the highly acclaimed Stellenbosch wine-growing region in South Africa. Winegrowing has been practised here since the late 16th century. In 1978, Jaques Malan bought Rainbow's End to make his dream come true. Only red grape varieties such as Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are planted. Each vintage is aged individually and by hand, without filtering or refining. The special climate and the different soil contents create ideal conditions for the vines to grow. The Malan family presents excellent wines year after year and is now known worldwide. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. 50% new wood, 25% second use and 25% third use.
