Tasting note
Ruby red with clear garnet reflections in the glass. On the nose, the wine gives off special notes of ripe fruit. Black currant and blackberry jam. Spices and toasted notes of tobacco and hazelnuts. Perfectly balanced on the palate - soft and rich in tannins. Overall, a harmonious wine that goes well with red meat and game dishes.
Vinification
After a short 3-month drying (appasimento) of the grapes, 18 to 20 months of aging in French oak barrels and a further 6 months of maturation in bottle follow.
