Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red. Elegant, delicately scented nose. Aromas of plums, sour cherry compote, dried fruit and fine roasted nuances, some tobacco. Nice aroma density. Strong, well-structured body. Present tannins of good quality. The finish is long, elegant and precise.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with rich meat dishes.
Vinification
Only the best Sangiovese grapes (regionally known as Brunello) are used for the royal wine of Tuscany, Brunello. Fermentation takes place in the composite Horizon containers made of steel and oak. 80% of the wine is then aged for 2 years in 60 hl and 90 hl French oak barrels and 20% in 350 L French oak barrels.
